Fitter Happier
Fitter Happier is a short film that explores modern society's anxieties through the daily life of an isolated individual attempting to escape her mind. Drawing from Michel Foucault and Byung-Chul Han's philosophies, I examined the protagonist's struggles with societal surveillance and the relentless pursuit of an idealised life.

What did I do for this short film?
In this independent film project, my role spanned directing, direction of photography, art direction, and costume design.
Collaboration was crucial despite the project’s small scale. Working closely with Lucia, the actress, and Valentina, the videographer, was instrumental in achieving the film’s vision. Their contributions were vital in bringing the project to life, even as it remained a highly independent effort with just three people and a single office setting. It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Costume Design
When designing the costumes, I wanted to visually represent the protagonist’s instability and internal conflict. I drew inspiration from organic architectural forms, incorporating fluid and non-linear designs to reflect a lack of structure in her life.
Zygmunt Bauman’s concept of "liquid modernity" and flexibility also influenced my choices, emphasizing how everything in the protagonist's world seems uncertain and ever-changing, much like liquid architecture that resists rigid frameworks. The costumes, therefore, become a visual metaphor for her struggle against the instability of modern societal pressures.
